Our house is named for Rosa Parks, an inspirational woman whose brave actions in the face of racism and aggression spearheaded the modern civil rights movement in the USA and around the world.
Students in Rosa Parks house look to her example of leadership as their guiding principle; we lead the way in all things. We have won the House Cup more times than any other house, demonstrating our commitment to working hard in lessons and attending school regularly and proudly. We support each other through good times and bad (Sports Day!), and we never give up. We also look to Rosa Parks’ selflessness and commit ourselves to helping others. We are tireless in our efforts to raise money for the school charities and, most recently, we supported Age UK’s Christmas appeal. Rosa Parks House does not just echo the school’s values of respect, responsibility and resilience, we embody them.
