A Welcome from Mr Bruce Burley, Headteacher
Wyvern College and St Edmund’s School are two happy and successful schools working together across one large, vibrant learning campus. Whilst the two schools remain legally separate, we operate together sharing excellent facilities and a committed, highly skilled and enthusiastic team of staff.
The opportunity to educate young people is a huge privilege and that drives us to ensure that our students receive the best possible education and experiences at secondary school. A strong Christian ethos is at the heart of our learning campus and positive relationships with students and parents are the foundation of our work.
I am immensely proud to lead Wyvern St Edmund’s and am passionate about ensuring that students are well cared for, that they make excellent progress and that we help them discover their talents and prepare them for life after school. Every student is nurtured as an individual and encouraged to achieve their potential academically, socially and personally.
Our vision is that all students become the very best versions of themselves they can be. We are incredibly proud of our confident, inquiring, positive students who, by the end of their time with us, are accomplished young adults ready for bright futures. Every year we are delighted by the academic achievements of our students and equally proud of how they excel in every aspect of school life.
A Wyvern St Edmund’s student is confident, curious and compassionate and makes excellent progress in their learning. Enrichment activities and leadership opportunities are extensive and mean that every student has the opportunity to discover their talent, whatever it may be. We have very high expectations of our students: they demonstrate exacting standards of work, behaviour and appearance, a positive and proactive approach to learning and reliability, as well as honesty and care for others.
We would be delighted to welcome you to visit Wyvern St Edmund’s to have a look around and meet some staff and students and discuss the exciting prospect of your son or daughter joining us for their secondary education.
